General Category : 50% Seats are in this category. Admission to this category will be made on the basis of inter-se-merit of the candidates at AIPGMET 2014.
NRI Seats : 50% of the seats are reserved for NRI quota . Admission to this category will be also on the basis of inter-se-merit of the candidates at AIPGMET 2014. The candidate desirous of getting admission under this category will have to apply separately on a prescribed form made available on the web site.

Candidate who secures minimum 50% marks at AIPGMET 2014 and satisfies the eligibility norms laid down by respective council shall be eligible for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses.

MD and MS courses duration is 3 years and Diploma is 2 years.

Eligibility

Medical
- The candidate must be an Indian National. Nationality Certificate issued by District Magistrate or Additional District Magistrate or Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Valid Passport shall constitute proof of nationality.
- The candidate must have passed M.B.B.S. Examinations from recognized Medical College and should have obtained final registration either from the Medical Council of India, New Delhi or Maharshtra state Medical Council after completion of one year rotating internship training.
- The candidate undergoing one year rotating internship training and likely to obtain final registration certificate from Medical Council of India, New Delhi or Maharshtra on or before 15th MAY 2014 can also appear for the entrance test. Such candidates will be required to submit a certificate from the Principal / Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of their rotating internship training, failing which their application will be treated as incomplete and shall be rejected.
Dental

Mode of Entrance Test

The AIPGMET 2014 will be of three and Half hours duration containing 300 multiple choice questions ( MCQs). Questions will be single best response objective type with four answer options. Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. There shall be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

The examinations will be conducted in English.

The entrance Test shall be of the standard of M.B.B.S. examinations and shall cover all the subjects of the M.B.B.S. course. The subject wise distribution of MCQs will be as follows-

There is no provision for revaluation of answer books.

  The candidates desirous of appearing for All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test 2014 of this Vidyapeeth will be requiring to fill up the application form on line. The form is available on the Vidyapeeth web site http://dypatilexams.com/enroll/mdms.
  
  The candidate must read the instructions for filling up the on line application form. These instructions are available on the web site.
  
  Transaction ID is number allotted to applicant by the On Line Application registration system after submission of the On line application successfully. The system also automatically emails the candidate the transaction id allotted.
  
  Entrance Test Fees
  The entrance Test fees is Rs.2000/-. The fees is payable by Cash/ Demand Draft drawn in favour of Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil University drawn on a nationalized or scheduled bank, payable at Navi Mumbai / Mumbai.
  
  The candidate should write HIS/HER name and address and Transaction ID number on the reverse side of the demand draft.

Selection Procedure

Medical
- The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of inter-se-merit of candidates taking in to consideration the preference given by the candidates and availability of seat in the branch / discipline of the his /her choice when called for counseling.
  
  Tie Breaker
  In case of equal marks at AIPGMET 2014 inter-se-merit of candidates will be determined by applying following tiebreaker rules :
  - First Level : A candidate securing higher percentage of marks in the aggregate of marks at the first. Second and Third M.B.B.S (Part I and Part II) examination taken together ,will be preferred. If the tie still persist then.
  - Second Level : A candidate securing Higher percentage of marks in the Third M.B.B.S (Part I and Part II), will be preferred. If the tie still persist then.
  - Third Level : A candidate securing higher percentage of marks at the second M.B.B.S Examinations, will be preferred If the tie still persist then
  - Fourth Level : An older candidate will be preferred over younger candidate.
Dental

    NRI Seat : Rs. 8,50,000/- (Rupees Eight Lakh Fifty Thousand only)
    Enrollment Fees : Rs. 10000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) (One Time).
    Eligibility Fees : Rs. 10000/- ( Rupees Ten Thousand Only) (One Time).
    
    The tuition fee for the first year will have to be paid within time limit given at the time of counseling . Failure to pay the tuition fees within specified time will result in automatic cancellation of admission offered to candidate.
    
    The Tuition fees demand draft / Pay order is to be paid in the favor of Padmashree Dr D Y Patil Medical College.
    
    The tuition fees for the subsequent years will have to be paid as and when notified by the Vidyapeeth / College. The candidate may be required to give a bank guarantee to cover fees of subsequent years.
    
    The fees once paid are non refundable.
Dental
- The annual tuition fee for Post Graduate Degree courses for General Category will be Rs. 8,00,000 Rupees Eight Lac only ) and for NRI seats will be Rs. 8,50,000/- (Rupees Eight lac Fifty thousand only).
  
  Enrollment Fees : Rs.10000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) (One Time)
  Eligibility Fees : Rs.10000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) (One Time)
